Curated
Capitol Hill
Curated Capitol Hill saw a family of three and their beloved cat undertake a comprehensive renovation to revitalize their long-held residence. Collaborating closely with Old City Design Studio, the architect who initially envisioned the structural changes, , they engaged our expertise to refine their kitchen, bathrooms, and living room spaces. Originally utilized as a rental property, the home underwent a top-to-bottom overhaul upon their return from an extended stay abroad. The project's focal point was the outdated kitchen, which had become dark and impractical over the years. Our redesign aimed to open up the space, seamlessly integrating it with the dining area to create an airy and functional hub for family life.
One of the most rewarding aspects of this project was the installation of stunning green Zellige tile in the primary bathroom. This choice not only enhanced the aesthetic appeal of the space but also reflected the client's appreciation for unique, artisanal craftsmanship.
The renovation process itself was a journey of discovery, navigating unexpected challenges and hidden opportunities within the historic home. Through meticulous planning and execution, we successfully revitalized each area while preserving the home's inherent charm.
