In the heart of the Chevy Chase Historic District, a family of five, alongside their two cats and a St. Bernard, set out to transform their newly acquired home from top to bottom. With a complete gut renovation, the project focused on revitalizing the historic charm while reimagining the layout for modern living.

We preserved the integrity of the original rooms but revamped the main floor by relocating the kitchen and reorienting the living and dining areas for improved flow. Drawing inspiration from classic English kitchens, the design merges timeless elegance with contemporary functionality.

A standout feature of the renovation is the client’s collection of handcrafted quilts, which are artfully displayed throughout the home, adding a personal and cozy touch to the historically rich setting.
