Bringing Your Project to Life: 3D Renderings

Grey or ivory kitchen cabinets? Basket-weave versus half-penny tile on the bathroom floor? The design process is filled with many decisions—some easy to make, others not. We often have clients who sail through the initial decisions in the design process but then get bogged down in the details.

This is why we are offering a new add-on service to our standard design process: 3D Renderings. By taking a two-dimensional drawing and making it “come to life” in three dimensions, our clients can see how an object or environment will appear in real life. These renderings allow properties such as architectural features, materials, textures, and color to stand out. They help a client visualize what the finished space will look like before construction even begins. We like to think of it as an insurance policy; a small fee to pay to have a clear vision and understanding of what the final project will look like.

Once the concept boards (including finishes, fabrics, and any other necessary items) are presented to the client and we have come to an approved final layout for the project, our team can produce 3D renderings using a program called Sketch Up. Though it may take a couple of weeks for the renderings to be complete, it will not hold up the design process and, in the end, many of our clients feel that the investment helps to make a well-informed, final decision.

Our commitment to each and every client is to make interior design accessible, affordable, and beautiful. Interior design is all about creating a cohesive and unique environment that meets each client’s personality and lifestyle. We have found that 3D renderings are an important tool in our design kit and we are happy to offer this premium service to clients.
