The Historic Capitol Hill project began with a family of five and their lively dog, who had moved into their new home just before the pandemic. With the sudden shift to home life and the challenges of managing three young boys, their plans for furnishing and decorating were put on hold.

We stepped in to breathe new life into the main living areas of their first floor. Our approach involved a fresh coat of paint throughout—on the walls, trim, and ceilings—including a standout transformation of the existing mantle. This not only updated the look but also added a sense of sophistication. We also modernized the space with new light fixtures, stylish wallpaper in the dining room, and custom radiator covers.

Understanding the need for durability, we selected furnishings that are both family-friendly and visually appealing. The original wood trim around the windows and doors was carefully preserved and painted bright white, creating a stunning contrast that highlights the home's classic charm while fitting perfectly with the updated design. The result is a vibrant, welcoming space that's both practical and stylish, reflecting the family's needs and lifestyle beautifully.
