Design Question #6: Loving Your Home

From paint color to accessories, these two homeowners have specific design questions about their living spaces.

Hi Britannia-

My gut reaction is that you shouldn't paint yet. Save up your money and wait until you can paint the walls, trim and ceilings all at one time. If you only do the walls everything else will feel sort of dirty and start to be even more of an eyesore. I'd wait another year until you can recoup your savings and then when you're more comfortable just go for it! The trim and ceilings make the biggest difference anyway!

All the best,

Heather

Hi Aline,

I'm more drawn to the 2nd option, labeled “image1.” The pattern feels a tad more modern. I'd start layering some other colors into the space to break up all the beiges. Try some of these pillows - they're my favorite!
