Lifecycle of a Project: Project Close Out
Over the past months, we have looked at the stages of a project. From the Initial Consultation to Construction Administration, our process is unique and provides each client a customized experience. In today's post, we will discuss the final phase, the Project Close Out.
Once the construction is complete, and the worksite is cleaned up, we will conduct a final walkthrough.
For Renovation projects, we conduct a final punch list walkthrough with the whole project team (clients, contractor, and architect). We itemize all items that are incomplete and create a document to track the completion of each item. We follow up with the contractor until each item is completed to the clients' satisfaction.
For Furnishing projects, we conduct a final walkthrough and address any "holes" that need to be addressed. We'll make a final "styling" list and send suggestions to round out the look of the room. Sometimes you just need one or two extra things that we didn't initially consider.
Once we conduct the final walkthrough and address any questions, we ask for feedback! We finalize our project interaction by sending a project survey where you can provide honest feedback on each phase of the project. We are always looking to improve our processes and client experiences, and we take our client's suggestions very seriously.
Finally, we select a few projects a year to be photographed for our portfolio. If you are willing to open your home to us one more time, the HDID team will bring in our styling pieces, flowers, and spend the day getting the perfect shots!
We invite you to take a look at our online portfolio to view our past projects. If you would like to discuss an upcoming project, please don't hesitate to reach out. We always enjoy hearing from you!
