Glover Park
Historic Restoration
In the heart of Glover Park, the Historic Restoration project centered around family traditions and the rich history of a 1930s row home. With a deep appreciation for culinary arts and family bonding over meals, the clients envisioned a kitchen that not only embraced modernity but also honored the home's historical roots. The project was driven by a desire to transform a previously dark and confined space into an inviting culinary hub where cooking and coffee rituals could flourish.
Central to the design approach was preserving the home's original charm while integrating modern conveniences. HDID meticulously retained architectural elements like doors and trims, complementing them with carefully selected vintage-inspired accents.
A highlight of the restoration was the transformation of an old, unfinished mudroom into a spacious, fully finished open pantry. Here we incorporated bespoke storage solutions tailored to accommodate everything from small appliances to household essentials, ensuring a clutter-free and functional space that seamlessly integrated with the kitchen design.
