Design Question #4: Outdoor Spaces

Are you finding yourself spending a lot of time outdoors lately? You are not alone! This question is from a reader who is looking to add finishing touches to her outdoor living space.

Hi Yara-

Thanks so much for reaching out with your question! My initial thoughts are that you have some really great pieces in place already! The overhead trellis is just lovely. What a great outdoor space!

Since you have all the big pieces in place, I'd suggest adding a few small things to pull it all together - an area rug on the deck, pillows and a few accessories, including greenery.

Here are some links to try:

• Metal Lanterns - these can sit on the ground. I'd get 1 of each size.

• Hanging Bells - possible hang off one of the trellis posts

• Citronella Candle - for table top

• Side Table and/or Side Table - 1 in corner and 1 between fire pit chairs

• Area Rug or Area Rug

• Lumbar Pillows - For woven chairs @ firepit

• Pillows - For couch. Possibly layer in some solids as well.

• Planters - Get a few different sizes and group them together in a cluster of 3.

• Garden Wall - Mount a couple of these on the fence walls to bring some greenery into the area. It will double as artwork too!
